Thank you to everyone for a year to remember! It has been fun. 8th grade, thank you for the last three years, and good luck in high school. It has been a pleasure to see you grow and mature as young adults. 6th and 7th graders, I will see you in August as we start the fun all over again. Have a great summer!
Congratulations to the MMS Symphonic Band and Jazz Ensemble for placing first in their class at this past weekend's Music in the Parks Kansas City Music Festival. The Symphonic Band received a Good rating, and the Jazz Ensemble received an Excellent rating. While also placing first in Middle School Class A, the Jazz Ensemble also took home the Overall Middle School/Junior High Jazz Ensemble award for the festival. This award is given to the highest scoring ensemble within the category, regardless of class. Great job students! A huge thank you to all of the chaperones and parents who went along on the trip. This experience for our students would not have been possible without your help...what a way to end a fantastic year!
Congratulations to the MMS Symphonic Band on their best performance yet this year at State Organizational! We received two perfect scores, missing the other one by just one point, for a First Superior rating! I am so proud of how far we've come this year together, and to think we still have Kansas City in one week. Students, keep up the great work! Another big thank you to all of the parents that went today and helped out, especially those who rode the bus with the kids. You guys are awesome...On to Kansas City!
