Lesson/Sectional Absence Policy
Incomplete Grades for a Term
March 10, 2008

The following may occur for any UNEXCUSED ABSENCE from a Lesson or Sectional:

1st and 2nd OCCURRENCE – STUDENT GIVEN A ZERO FOR THE WEEK’S LESSON AND/OR SECTIONAL.

3 or more unexcused absences will result in an Incomplete being given for the student’s grade in band, and will not be changed on the student’s report card until he/she has made up the points with Mr. Williams.

*Notices for Incomplete Band Grades will be sent home to parents at the end of the term.

*Band students have two weeks after notices are sent home to make up the points with Mr. Williams.

*All EXCUSED ABSENCES must be documented using the Lesson/Sectional Absence Request Form found on the MMS Band Room Bulletin Board. Students must turn in these forms to Mr. Williams, with their parent’s/guardian’s signature.
