MMS Band Itinerary for May 7th Elementary School Tour
On Wednesday, May 7th, the MMS/MHS bands will be traveling to the elementary schools on our annual recruitment trip. All MMS teachers have been notified that MMS band students will not be in class on this day. We will use the following itinerary for May 7th:
| 8:00 AM | MMS band students arrive at MMS Band room. (Attire Concert Dress, see below). |
| 8:15 AM | Load the buses and depart. |
| 8:30 AM | Arrive at Carruthers, unload, set-up. |
| 9:30 AM | Performance at Carruthers. (Both Symphonic Band and Jazz Ensemble) |
| 10:15 AM | Conclude performance; load. |
| We are on an incredibly tight schedule so everyone must assist in loading and unloading. | |
| 10:30 AM | Lunch at Jackson Square - Bring your own lunch $ |
| 11:20 AM | Load buses |
| 11:25 AM | Depart |
| 11:40 AM | Arrive at Gen. John A Logan, Unload. |
| 12:30 PM | Performance at Gen. John A Logan. (Both Symphonic Band and Jazz Ensemble) |
| 1:30 PM | Conclusion of performance; Load equipment. |
| 2:00 PM | Depart |
| 2:15 PM | Arrive back at school, everyone unloads |
| 3:15 PM | Normal dismissal time. |
| Concert Dress for ALL MMS Band students: | |
| Gentlemen: | Plain button-down white dress shirt or top, black pants, black belt, black shoes, and black socks |
| Ladies: | Black Evening Wear; black dress, skirt, or pant |
